Lectors

The call to proclaim the Word of God is an honor and a responsibility. Those serving as Lectors (readers) are enriched through their study and review of sacred Scripture as they prepare themselves to proclaim God's Word.

This ministry involves one major training session a year, and there is ongoing education and support offered throughout the year. Training is scheduled for the fall, though individual and small group training may be scheduled at other times during the year as needed. The training schedule will be published in our parish bulletin and on this website.  

How often will I serve?

Lectors serve at one Mass per month for a period of 6 months, but are encouraged to serve as a substitute whenever there are openings. Scheduling is done through our Liturgical Ministry database.
